March, 21-26, 2022 Shoshone, California

77, sunny and wind gusts to 40 mph.

I spent all afternoon putting these feathers on, not liking it, taking them off, changing something  putting them on over and over. I think I finally got it. It is made from natural and dyed  pine  needles, polyester thread, birch bark, I think red tailed hawk feathers, tiger eye, blue fetish bear and an arrow head.  It is 9 x 7 /12.

Susan, Robbie and the dogs visiting. Willie and Lilly.

Sunset tonight.

The current masterpiece is started. The center is a piece of glass I fused. 7 inches in diameter so far. The thread colors are red, orange, yellow and green so far, much brighter than in this photo. Viewing jewels.

80 degrees today. Perfect day to relax in the shade and work on my masterpiece. It is now 9 inches in diameter. The thread colors are more intense in person. 90 degrees and sunny. John reading, Judy and I working on baskets in the shade.

4 more rows on the masterpiece. Two dark blue with orange stitching and two dark green with blue stitching. 9 x 2 1/2 inches. A few wispy clouds for sunset tonight.

We walked to the Crowbar for chocolate cake a la mode, on the way back we saw this blue light show down the road. I walked down to investigate and found 3 5th wheels in the campground with light shows on the end. Sure am glad I am not camped next to them. I've had a group of geology students in town dropping by to buy jewels!

92 today. We sat in the shade all day. Sunset tonight. 92 again today. Hiked real early and saw a few flowers. Yellow tack stem, blurry photo of the 'tacks' on the stem, creosote, and prickly pear.

Finished the masterpiece. It is made from natural and dyed pine needles, polyester thread, glass seed beads and I fused the glass center. 9 x 2 inches.

Backside of the masterpiece. I sat in the shade and started another basket today. The center has a small figure on a bike, trying new bead pattern.

88, sunny and windy. It still felt stinking hot. Another day in the shade basketing. Sunset was mostly jet trails.

Sunset.
