March 28-30, 2022 Shoshone, California

High of 74 today. Sunny in the am, cloudy, windy and rainy in the afternoon.

I finished this little basket. It is made with dyed pine needles, polyester thread and glass seed beads. The center is a piece of fused glass with a small bike on it. It is 6 x 2 1/4 inches. We had a tiny bit of rain, then a huge double rainbow.

Phainopepla. Willie is shaking Judy's hand. He has been feeling under the weather and not wanting treats or attention, but is feeling a little better now.

Sunset tonight.

77 with some wind. Very pleasant day. Took a hike on the Red/Aqua trails and into the badlands to the east of town. The wetlands with Little Black Mountain in the middle. View from Little Black Mountain.

Brittle bush blooming against the lava rocks on Little Black Mountain. Blooming beaver tail cactus on Little Black Mountain.

View of Shoshone from the ridge. Beavertail cactus blooms, curly wood, Rock tortoise, and a small arch.

Salt deposits and wild shapes.

Fan palm and clouds, the mesquite trees are starting to leaf out with spring green leaves and phragmites in the wetlands. Sunset.

82 and mostly sunny today. A little excitement this evening. The neighbors kids drove off with Robbie in his side by side. They left a bike, which John jumped on. The boys were shocked when they came back and saw John.

The younger brother was chasing John with his camera trying to get a photo. John finally stopped when they said- You can't ride that, it is not even safe, you have no helmet on! Something he keeps reminded them of. Maybe they listened to him. Sunset tonight.
