December 9-12, 2023 Merced to Bakersfield to Ridgecrest, California

 62 and sunny.

We are now camped at Vista Winery outside of Merced, Calif. Our server Momie pouring John a taste.

A gentleman at the end of the bar took this of both of us at the wine tasting. Beautiful fall colors on the grape vines.

Olive tree, oranges, sunflower, Tis the season Cheers, more flowers and another sign at the vineyard. Sunset tonight.

61 degrees and sunny. We are now parked at The Orange Grove RV park. And it is in an orange grove. The two dots in front of the bus are our pathetic basil plants. Hopefully now that we are where the sun shines they may come back. We are allowed to pick oranges. So we have fresh orange juice, fresh orange zest and orange delight cookies I made from my mothers recipe.

Sunset kissed oranges. Sunset.

Finished this turtle basket. It is made from natural and dyed pine needles, polyester threat, glass. ceramic  and wooden beads. The center is a stone turtle. It is about 8 x 4 x 3 inches. They trim the trees by the office pretty weird here.

Boo the pool is closed for the season .  Sunset.

I love how the clouds change during sunset I wrapped a few more pieces of glass. the red gold one has a raven in it if you look close.

We topped off the tank in Tehachapi. Smog leaving Bakersfield.

65 and sunny. We are now parked at Desert Empire fairgrounds, event center and RV Park. It is basically a dirt parking lot with hook up. Most fairgrounds RV parks are pretty plain and cheap. Only $30 a night here. There were no clouds today, so sunset was just along the horizon.
