High of 53. Partly rainy, partly sunny.
I took this looking into the sun through a tinted window of the sea stacks by Pistol River. We are now camped at Harris Beach State Park in Brookings, Oregon. We have a large yard and a nice view of the ocean.
We walked down to the beach for sunset, but it was cloudy. We went to the Festival of Lights at Azalea Park tonight. It had been raining so hardly anyone was there.
Santa in a police car and fire engine. Cappella by the Sea is a beautiful chapel made of wood, glass and cool angles. Never been in it, so it was nice that it was open.
Santa 4 wheeling, sea serpent, shark, flamingos, a kid with his tongue stuck to a metal post flapping his arms, and Santa with the reindeer. John in one of the two flashing tunnel of lights.
Looking down from the top of the hill in the middle of the park.
Jelly fish, crab with a Santa hat, octopus. There were a number of these no camping, no loitering signs. Who would want to camp in the middle of the holiday lights? John in candy cane lane.
Wacky bird lights. It was predicted to rain all day. Instead it rained a little bit in the morning, then was kind of hazy all day and 55. Harris Beach.
There were huge waves. A big storm is coming.
Oyster catchers in the surf. Big wave.
I would have walked farther down the beach here, but the creek was pretty deep. A beach log with the sky reflected in a puddle on it and a hole with th3e water behind it.
Sunset took me totally by surprise. It was so gray and cloudy I didn't think there would be one.
