We had wanted to go to Lake Havasu (John wanted to check out the girls on spring break in their bikinis), but looked like it was already reserved up. Since it was predicted to be in the mid 90’s we wanted somewhere to plug in the AC. We found Lake Alamo in the middle of no where, 40 miles from the closest town. We reserved the last electrical site last night. We arrived here today and it is beautiful. Also supposed to have excellent bass fishing, too bad we don’t have a big boat and want to fish!
Wild flowers along the road on the way here. Lake Alamo.
92 degrees, and what do you do?? Swim in the lake. Very refreshing.
We drove down to the Bill Williams overlook and the wildflowers are growing all down the hill to the lake. Poppies, primroses and many others.
The vultures were also circling. Green canyons.
Yellow prickly pear, phacilia, phacilia again, primroses, lupine, owl clover, pink prickly pear, yellow fiddle head.
Dinner outside once it had dropped into the low 80’s. Salad and left over homemade mac and cheese and wine from the Sonoita winery. Sunset on the lake and mountains
Wild burros on the hillside at sunset.
