A few days of relaxing by the river and then we headed to Shoshone, Ca to meet my sister Judy, to meet the rest of the group Sat for our Death Valley trip.
John fixing the drawer slide that had been broken when the fold out bed was shut on the the closed drawer-your supposed to open the drawer. The drawer now works better than it ever has. We went out to dinner afterwards to a place John picked because it has 16 beers on tap. The make your own burger was the same price not matter what you put on it, so I had cheese, bacon, onions, avocado, lettuce, tomato, whole wheat bread. John thought it deserved a photo, his steak and potato and draft Arrogant Bastard beer are behind it. We took the free ferry across the river and went gambling afterwards. I only lost $4.
The next day we relaxed. This desert oasis sign is as you drive into the campground. John reading under our ramada and palm tree by the river. 88 degrees, but cool by the river. My lawn chair is closer to the river.
Beach camping from above after the sun dropped below the foothills. Joshua trees outside Las Vegas on our way toward Death Valley.
The tiny blue sign says Welcome to California. The wind was blowing dust around, this is Shoshone as you drive into it.
The bus parked at Judy’s house. The house is really is bigger than the bus, but it doesn’t look it in these photos. Judy had an RV plug in installed for our visits, John is hooking up.
