Before I got up this morning John was outside smoking pork and drinking coffee. I got out while it was still in the high 70’s and went biking.
It amazes me that these deserts that get no rain and are so hot go wild with green and flowers in the spring.
Fields of purple phacilia and poppies.
Purple fields and mares tail skies.
Saguaro and cholla. John spent the day closely monitoring the smoking and finishing a book.
After my ride I worked on the pecans I picked up at the Tularosa winery. I got through about half before I had to retire to beheading pine needles and reading in my lawn chair in the sun. Pulled smoked pork for dinner. Yum.
