July 19-20, 2021 The South Fork of the Salmon River, Idaho

 86 and partly cloudy.

I rode my bike up Lick creek road along the Secech river.  Wooly sunflowers a bit dog eared, a bunch of the same un dog eared and a twin berry.

Sky rockets and twin flower. I saw this camo painted propane tank in the woods. I looked a bit farther and there was a propane generator making power with these dials on it. The thought is that it is powering a salmon counter and chip reader so they can track the released salmon.

John packing for the 4 day, 3 night self support kayak trip they are all going on tomorrow. I will stay in the bus and guard camp. We had to squeeze into the shade for happy hour. A group came in the middle of the night, and they ended up being people we knew also kayaking. Mike and Joyce and two other men joined us for happy hour.

We had to squeeze into the shade for happy hour. A group came in the middle of the night, and they ended up being people we knew also kayaking. Mike and Joyce and two other men joined us for happy hour.  Joyce, Jennie, John G and Jim picking out free river gems. I also sold a few.

We had left overs for dinner. Real lively crew, all reading after dinner. Our group and our friends from the other group on departure day for the multiday self support trips on the south fork of the Salmon river. I will stay in camp and guard it.

Our group on the departure day. Me, John G, John M, Larry, Jennie,
Walt and Jim. Walt packing his boat up.

John, John and Jim with their boats. They launched from the campsite.  Jim with his boat in the flowers.

My cute hubby dressing for the river. The group departing on the south fork of the Salmon river. I took photos from the bridge.

Walt and John.

Jim and John G.

Jennie and everyone waving good bye.

Off they go. I finished this basket. 8 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. Love the blue beads.

Finished master piece. 8 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. The center is a piece of dichroic glass I beveled and polished. It is made with natural and dyed pine needles, polyester thread and glass beads. Sunset with the rising gibbous moon.
