April 21,2022 Lodi, California

 High of 63 and rainy.

First time we have seen rain in a long time. The current masterpiece is progressing. The center is rose quartz. It is 6 1/2 x 6 x 1 1/2 inches so far.

We are at Jesse's Grove vineyard near Lodi, California. The ranch has goats, chickens, horses, cats and these huge acorns on Valley oak trees.

I love oak trees.

We are parked in this huge field. There are 4 other rigs too. Lots of room to spread out. John with our server setting out 2 flights of wine to taste.

Fuel was only $6.09 a gallon and 45 gallons cost $274. We usually only drive 50 or 100 miles a week. The last three months we have mostly just been in  Shoshone. This run to Eugene, Oregon is sticker shock. Baby grapes, white roses, oak leaves and a clouds reflection.

Many of the vines here were planted in 1847 and are very old twisty growth,

Even the younger vines are still pretty old. The barn across the field.

Wine in oak barrels. Sunset over the vineyards.
