April 3-8, 2022 Shoshone, California

 85 and sunny.

The desert 5 spots just started blooming. The desert tortoises are also out of their den. We had a nice potluck on our patio tonight, Billie, Karin, Susan, Patrick, Judy, James and Judy. We had a yummy assortment of food and it was good to see everyone.

Since it is still Judy's birthday season I put her candles on the spaghetti squash au gratin and we all sang to her. Sunset tonight.

87 today and sunny. We drove to Tecopa to dump the bus and back. Tecopa Peak over the Grimshaw wetlands. Sunset tonight entertained us at dinner out on the patio.

92 today and sunny. Thankfully there was a bit of wind to cool it down. This masterpiece is almost done. 11 x 2 inches. A couple ravens hanging out on a fence by a blooming creosote bush and a coot dashing across the street.

Reflections on the lake  in the middle of Shoshone tonight. Sunset tonight with a waxing crescent moon.

86 today and very windy-which made it bearable. We saw one more 5 spot and two Langloisia. They were very small. There have been almost no flowers this year and almost no rain this spring. I finished the basket. It is 11 x 2 inches. It is made from natural and dyed pine needles, glass, moonstone and metal beads and an aspen earring. I fused the dichroic center with sun beams filtering through aspen trees.

Side and bottom view of the masterpiece. Judy D is almost done with her basket too.

92 degrees and sunny today. I got an excellent massage in Tecopa today and soaked in the Tecopa hot springs before and after. I am very relaxed.  John and Judy trying to tie up a tree in Judy's yard- when it was 92 degrees. John says he won the mesquite wrestling and wet t shirt contest.

105 on the sunny side of the bus in the living room, 103 sunny side of the bedroom, and 100 on the non sunny side of the living room. 84 in the water tank. It was 95 outside. John finally decided to turn on the AC. Getting a bit warm. . . Judy D finished her basket. It is made from natural and dyed pine needles, the center and inclusions are part of the cholla cactus. Side view.

Front view.
