8-11, 2023 Cattail Cove, Lake Havasu, Arizona

 67 and mostly sunny.

I finished these two beaded pendants today. The first two are the same one, one in shade and one in sun. The photos do not do it justice. It is purple, bright blue or gold depending on the light and which angle. The last one is emerald green with either gold or copper depending on the light. Both came out well. They are dichroic glass. Great blue heron at the beach.

Sunset didn't have many clouds or color. But was nice.

68 and mostly cloudy. Our hike today we started up Wayne's Way trail which was in a wash. Saw these same yellow flowers with the lantern shaped seeds, smoke tree and and interesting cairn.

View of lake Havasu from the high point of Ted's Trail.  The sun came out for lunch. John is happy.

We tried a narrow side canyon. John stepping down a steep area.

We got stopped at a dry fall with a 10 foot drop into a huge wet tinaja- which is rain water in a hole in a rock. Animals depend on these for water in the desert. We climbed out the canyon and came back on the trail overlooking the lake.

We moved to another site today. To stay this next week we have to move a few times. Sunset from the end of the boat dock.

Yesterday we went to Lake Havasu City to grocery shop. We stopped at a new brewery for lunch. John with his Mariner Double IPA. We had to move again today. We are parked next to some big luxury coaches.

The other luxury coach we are parked by. Both are remodeled MCI buses. Labyrinth on the beach.

Sunset was stunning tonight.
