January 19-21 Bullhead City, Arizona to Shoshone, California

 58, sunny and very windy.

Quail running through camp at Bullhead City, Az. We filled up in Bullhead City. Fuel was only $4. 39.

We crossed the Colorado River into Nevada, then left Nevada into California. Heart on the trail of today's hike. Targets for shooting seen on our hike today. Welcome to Magical Nipton, Calif.

Today we started here in Amargosa canyon looking for a way into Tecopa Wash. Judy and John hiking up to the ridge above the canyon.

We didn't get to Tecopa wash, but we got this gorgeous view of Amargosa Canyon from above. There was this convenient arrow pointing to the view point.

Looking east. I finished this cute little basket. It is made with dyed pine needles, polyester threat, glass beads and the center is a piece of dichroic glass I cast. It is 4 1/2 x 2 inches.

I also finished this little basket too. It is made with dyed pine needles, polyester threat, glass beads and the center is a piece of dichroic glass I cast. It is 3 3/4 x 2 inches.  Last light on the Resting Spring Range.

One scrawny cloud for sunset tonight over a rain puddle. My old singer featherlight had a piece of thread caught in the bobbin assembly and I had to take it apart to fix it. Got the thread out but had trouble reassembling it. Fortunately John was able to get it back together for me. Spend hours today with it.

We went on a hike with Judy today on the river trails. She built a new fabulous  bridge through the  foliage on the red trail.  She affixed a tag on the bridge with the date today. We moved the old boards from the bridge Judy replaced to another wet spot on the trail.  John with one of the boards on the new bridge.

View toward the badlands east of the river. We also spend quite a bit of time trimming the aqua trail. John with loppers trimming mesquite trees. The mesquite have one inch long sharp thorns. Lots of work.

We are parked at my sister Judy's house in Shoshone, California. Nice to be here. Susan treated us to a lovely dinner at the Crowbar tonight. Sue, Judy, John and Susan. Good food and good company.
