61 and cloudy. It rained all last night. It was very nice.
We went on a hike today to see what changes since the rain. There were not much, other than the ground was damp A sight you don't see in the desert that much- moss. Moss on the wash bottom and moss on the cliff faces. Tiny plants are sprouting everywhere. Hopefully they are all wild flowers. This cracked mud looked the same, except that he surface was damp. The masterpiece is taking shape. It is 10 x 10 x 1 1/2 inches now.
63 and cloudy, It rained all last night and off and on today. This was about all the sun we saw today. Great blue heron, 2 duck butts and a coot.
We took a walk along the shore for the last time. We are leaving tomorrow. Heading back toward camp,
We picked two more lemons from the lemon tree in the campground and I made lemon bars. Yum, Yum.
We thought there might be a sunset, it was supposed to clear a little in the evening, but this was all we got.
We drove through Lake Havasu City, which is home to the London Bridge. Some cool peaks north of Lake Havasu city.
Then crossed the Colorado River , with the border of California in the middle of the bridge and into the pacific time zone. And back to Arizona. Then through Needles, Ca with is on route 66, the visitors center is in an old Harvey House. And the birds are at the food shop.
Coming in Bullhead City, Arizona. Got the masterpiece done. It is made from dyed pine needles, polyester thread, glass beads and the center is a piece of dichroic glass I fused with a tree in it. 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 2.
We are now camped on the Colorado River in Bullhead City at the Davis Camp. I love the beach here. 58 and partly cloudy and some rain today. Sunset over the river.
Sunset over the bus. Sunset over the beach at Davis Camp.
Sunset over the bus at Davis Camp from the river.
