It is foggy here. It is not so much raining as the fog is really wet, like a mist. We scored our favorite campsite at Harbor Vista. It is the only one with an ocean view. Here is our view today. The bus in site 13, the one with the ocean view.
We saw this either barred or spotted owl by the dumpster. It seemed to be waiting for the rodents in the trash cans. I thought it was fake, then it turned it's head and looked at me. The left photo is lit by John's flashlight the right one by my flash. The masterpiece is progressing. It has a brass leaf pendant in the center. I added the wrap and the beads, still working on getting them straight.
John's photo of the owl came out better than mine. It looks like a barred owl. We are now camped at Tugman Oregon State Park on Eel lake. There are 3 miles of the Oregon Sand dunes between us and the ocean.
When we pulled in the engine started screeching. There was a smoking belt. Fortunately it goes to the engine air condition with we don't use. It froze up, so John just took the belt off.
The sun came out periodically today. The bus with the sun on it. But it started to rain when we hiked a short trail along Eel Lake with our friends Rob't and Diana.
It was very thick and green forest on our hike in the rain along Eel lake.
A tarp covered camper and tent in the campground in the rain. A wet newt among the leaves and chantrel and hedgehog mushrooms that we hunted up on our walk. The end of the trail along the north side of Eel Lake.
A bridge over a small creek on our hike in the rain today. There was a touch of color at sunset at the end of the rain.
We had drinks and warmed up their part of dinner in Rob't and Diana's RV. We met them on the road when they were traveling on the road many years ago and still run into each other. We finished up dinner with John cooking the rest of dinner in our bus.
