November 23-24, 2019 Cape Arago, Oregon

Another beautiful day. This is Simpsons Reef. It is covered with seals and sea lions.  On our hike we saw this bride having her photo taken.

South Cove beach with huge log driftwood. We hiked down to South Cove Beach to look in the tide pools at low tide.

South Cove beach on Cape Arago. Huge holey rocks and smaller boulders on the beach.

The view from Cape Arago lookout. Shore Acres used to be a huge estate in the early 1900's. It burnt down, but the gardens were restored.

Shore Acres has the best biggest waves. We are on top of the cliff and they are coming up higher.

Looking south from Shore Acres. On the left is the observation building. The water here at the top of the cliff are from the waves below.

A wave above the cliff and John with some cool rocks.

I found a great seat with a headrest. The spot of choice for the photographers tonight.

Waves above the cliff at sunset. The photographer on the left tells you how huge these waves are. I thought she might wash away, but she just got a little wet.

Sunset. In the tide pools a giant green anemone, sea star, seaweed, sea snails and an octopus tentacle. Queen anne's lace, holey rocks, cool windworked trees.

The bus at Sunset Beach State Park. We had reservations for the last site for the weekend that would fit the bus. But the park was not that full. Very nice. John with his IPA at 7 Devils Brewery in Coos Bay. We had lunch, which was so late it ended up being dinner too.
Sunset from the Fred Meyer ( West coast Kings soopers, both are Kroger) parking lot while John restocked our food supply.
