May 13-14, 2022 Eugene, Oregon

 High of 56 and rainy.

We woke up to fog this am. We went on a hike at Thurston Hills natural area with Leslie and Karen today. John, Leslie and Karen.

John, Leslie and Karen hiking in the deep dark forest. The trail had a stop sign- trail crew ahead, aso we took the trail with the  warning to be careful, you could be injured or die, up above the cliffs.

One of the views on the way up. Leslie and Karen on the switchback below me on the way back down.

Columnar cliff. Camas, wild iris, false Solomon's seal and dogwood.

Deep grass. Dogwood, scotch broom, flowering current and mallow.

A field of camas flowers. Tiny geraniums, red seed heads, clematis and black berries.

The masterpiece is coming along. The center is mookaite jasper.  Another hike today. A field of blue camas.

A field of pink alyssum. Oak tree.

John, Scott, Dan and Leslie hiking up. Meadow and oak tree.

Hiking up a meadow full of flowers and a small stream. Hiking into the moss covered oak trees.

We had a drink at the Public house beer hall. We call it the beer church because it is in old church. Some flowers and poison oak seen today. The forget me nots are in Leslie and Scotts garden.
