May 15-17, 2022 Eugene, Oregon

 72 an mostly sunny.

We met our friends Tom and Britany today. We listened to Irish Jam and visited. Nice to see them. Tom, John and Britany. The Irish Jam session.

I am adding a last row( I think) of black around the top of the basket with a twist on the ends.  Further progress today. I am deciding which beads to use in the ends.

Spent most of the day sitting in the waiting room while they worked on the bus. Lily the shop dog like people to throw her toy for her, over and over and over. I always throw it for her. She is very skittish and won't let me touch her. John ignores her. She drops the toy and stares at him. Today she started nudging him with her nose and he ignores her. This afternoon she laid her head on his feet and looked up adoringly. He grudgingly threw it for her.

We met our friends Rob't and Diana for happy hour. We met them over 10 years ago on the road. They are here in town in their new fabulous 5th wheel. Great to see them.

We saw wildlife! A snail. Sunset from Oregon Motor Coach.

Here is the bus in the shop. It is dwarfed by all the newer bigger coaches.

We want the window boxes recovered, they are all frayed. They said pick the fabric, look through all these books full fabric samples. Took forever. The masterpiece is done. It is made from dyed pine needles, polyester thread, glass, metal , stone beads. The center is a piece of mookaite jasper from my friend Pam.

Another view of the masterpiece. I started this new one. It has a piece of dichroic glass I beveled and polished.

We went on a hike today with Rob't and Diana at Doris Ranch. Fluffy cat's ear, Solomon's seal, and larkspur.

Poppies and many small flowers along the path. Diana and Rob't on the trail.

Rob't and John on the trail. The trail through the forest.

Willamette river. Some wildlife, small snake, merganser with babies,  and a lizard.

We had dinner at the Elkhorn brewery. Rob't, Diana and John. Years ago when we were in a brewery Diana and I had to lay our heads on the table to get into the photo, and we still do it just because. Sunset.
